About Revenge Baseball

Revenge Baseball takes its name from the Queen Anne's Revenge, the flagship associated with Blackbeard in the 1710s. Seeing those masts crest the horizon meant danger was near and escape unlikely. Our teams play with that same inevitability—prepared, fast, and relentless— while keeping youth baseball values and sportsmanship at the core.

We compete primarily in TopGun, Perfect Game, USSSA, and The Ripken Experience. We are based in Northeast North Carolina (Outer Banks and surrounding communities) and Upstate South Carolina.

Why "Revenge"?

Many people assume our name comes from anger or spite, but Revenge Baseball has much deeper roots. Our name honors the Queen Anne's Revenge, the legendary flagship of Edward Teach—better known as Blackbeard— who made these very waters his home in the early 1700s.

This is our backyard. Blackbeard didn't just sail through the Outer Banks—he lived here, based his operations from these barrier islands, and knew every inlet and sound like the back of his hand. The same waters where our players grow up, fish, and learn the value of preparation and local knowledge.

When coastal communities spotted those distinctive black sails on the horizon, fear wasn't born from cruelty—it came from inevitability. Blackbeard and his crew were simply that prepared, that skilled, and that relentless. They knew these waters better than anyone, and their reputation was built on competence, not just intimidation.

That's the legacy we carry onto the baseball field. Prepared. Fast. Relentless. When opponents see Revenge Baseball take the field, they know they're facing a team that's done the work, knows the game inside and out, and won't give up. It's not about anger—it's about earned confidence and the quiet power that comes from being truly ready.

"The fear wasn't in the flag—it was in the preparation behind it."
